Two super cool things
1. I searched “pretentious theatre kid poodle” on twitter (just to see if anyone on there talked about us) and saw that Mara Wilson (from Matilda, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Miracle on 34th Street) tweeted about the meme last summer:
So that’s cool! We will of course strive to be even more pretentious in her honor ;)
2. We currently have 1,999 followers! This is pretty insane for a meme started by two college kids who one day started making fun of how pretentious we tended to be when talking about musical theatre. Seriously, you guys are awesome for supporting this blog.
We definitely want to do something to celebrate when we hit 2,000 followers. Brianne and I discussed a giveaway but we’re both pretty strapped for cash so for now that idea is out. Does anyone have any ideas on something cool we could do for you guys? One idea could be something like a random promo of five people (you’d have an hour to like/reblog a post and we’d randomly select five or so people to promote to our followers). That’s just a starting point though, so if you have any ideas (preferably theatre related but if not that’s fine as well), please send them to us! We want to show our appreciation for all soon-to-be 2,000 of you!

We really do love getting your input!
However we’ve stated so so so many times that this is a satirical blog. We’re here to poke fun at the pretentious quirks we thespians occasionally exhibit! It’s a blog made for theatre kids to be able to laugh at themselves! We get so many messages of people taking offense to the things we post because they think we’re perpetuating bad stereotypes or we’re glorifying rude/pretentious behavior.
We know not all theatre kids do these things.
We know some of the things we say are rude (ie- the making demands of tech and not knowing any of their names post).
From here on out, any messages sent to us regarding people clearly not understanding that this blog is satirical will be deleted.
